WHITE ELECAMPANE
Inula helenium
Blooms from July until August with beautiful large yellow
blossoms resembling those of the sun flower.
The roots are used when dug out in March or October.
Relieves coughing and comforts inflammations of the mucosa.
It is used for bronchitis, colds and flu, for throat-wash
against toothache and sore throat.
Boil 1 spoonful of chopped roots in 0, 5 l of water for 10
min. Drink 1 cup 4 times a day.

OX TONGUE
Scolo pendrium
It is gathered at the end of September and October when the
spores of the upper part of the leaves become brown.
Leave infusion helps clear the throat and stops bleeding.
Suitable for all types of cough and liver diseases; relieves
the pain of angina pectoris.
Soak 1 spoonful of the herb in 400 ml of boiling water for
1 hour. Take 1 wineglass 3 times a day.
The herb grows on the rocks southeast from the meadow. |

WHITE LADY’S
BEDSTRAW
Galium aparine
Blooms from May until June. Use the stem during the bloom.
Part of the herb clears the kidneys, the liver, the pancreas
and the spleen. Maria Treben strongly recommends it against
thyroid diseases.
Soak 1 teaspoon of the herb in 1 l of water for 1 hour. Take
three cups a day of freshly prepared tea.
The herb is spread mostly behind the old chalet. |

NETTLE
Urtica dioica
Use the leaves, the stem and the roots. The leaves and the
stems are gathered from May until September. The roots are
dug out in September.
Infusion of nettle is used against kidney and urinary sand.
The nettle is the best mean for blood purification and feeding
of the blood. Reduce the level of blood sugar.
Soak 1 teaspoon in 1 l of water and take 3 freshly prepared
cups per day.

Geranium macrorrhizum
Blooms from April until August. Use the entire stem and upper
part, gathered during bloom.
Its leaves are used against diarrhea and stomach aches. Helps
reduce high blood pressure.
The herb is spread all over the woods around the meadow.

TUTSAN
Hynericum perforatum
Blooms from June until August. Used the stalk and blossoms.
It is one of the most commonly used herbs. It has anti-bacterial
properties, heals wounds and relieves. Use against kidney
and gall sand.
Boil 2 soup spoonfuls in 0,5 l of water for 5 minutes. Drink
1 cup 4 times a day before eating.

Rubus fruticosus
Use the leaves and the fruit gathered in nice sunny weather
from June until September. It has constipating properties
and is used against diabetics. Take fruits against cold and
inflammation of the respiratory tract.
Soak 2 soup spoonfuls of leaves with 0, 5 l of boiling water
for 1 hour. Take the infusion in 1 wineglass 4 times a day.
The herb is spread all over the woods around the meadow. Greater
amounts can be found on the southeast of it.

Verbascum phlomoides
Blooms from June until September. Gather the blossoms during
bloom in dry weather only after the evaporation of the morning
dew. It has a nice fragrance and tastes sweet.
Use against dry cough, bronchitis and hoarse voice.
Soak 1 soup spoonful of blossom in 300 ml of boiling water
for 1 hour. Take 1 wineglass sweetened with honey 3 times
a day.
The herb can be found all over the meadow.

YELLOW PRIMROSE
Primula officinalis
Blooms from April until the end of May. Use the entire plant.
Blossoms and leaves are gathered during bloom. Roots are dug
out in March or in the autumn.
It clears throat and lungs perfectly and relieves pain. The
leaves have high content of vitamin C. The herb has a nice
fragrance.
Soak 1 soup spoonful of blossom or leaves in 300 ml of water
for 2 hours. Take 1 coffee cup 4 times a day before eating.

Onopordon acanthium
The blossoms are gathered during bloom from June until August.
It stimulates the secretion of some glands. It stimulates
the heart and raises the blood pressure.

bloom.
It is used against cough. Prevents gases and has tranquilizing
properties. The plant is also used as a spice and as a component
in the cosmetic industry.

Sweeten with honey and take 1 wineglass 4 times a day.

Filipendula hexapetala
Blooms from June until August. Use the blossoms and the roots.
The blossoms are gathered together with the stalks and are
used as an infusion.
It fights and protects from inflammations. Helps the excretion
of urine and rheumatism. Use roots for bathing.

Euphrasia
officinalis
Use the stalks gathered during bloom in July and August.
It stimulates the stomach and the guts against acid and gall
disorders. It is recommended against inflammation of the eyes,
for improvement of the eye sight using tincture for washing.

Blooms early in the spring in March and April. Use the blossoms

Take 1 cup 4 times a day.

bloom.
It is used against stomach aches, gases, acids, and eyes washout.

1 wineglass 4 times a day.

Use the stalks during bloom from June until September. Use
also roots dug out late in the autumn.
It clears throat and stimulates appetite. Use against constriction,
dizziness, inflammation of kidneys and bladder.
Soak 1 spoon in 0,5 l of water for 1 hour. Take 1 cup 4 times
a day.
The herb grows on the left side of the road to the meadow.

Orhis maculata
Use the corm, dug out during bloom from May until June.
Use for all types of cough.
Mix 1 tea spoonful of ground corm and 1 l of water. Pour 0,3
l of boiling water and boil for 15 minutes. Take 1 coffee
cup of the hot infusion sweetened with honey 4 times a day.

Use blossoms and fruit. Blossoms are gathered before full
bloom in June. Fruit ripen in September. Dry fruit in a shady
place.
It is an anti-perspirant, laxative and clears throat and lungs
